Sivan Slapak is a Montreal-based writer.

She is the author of Here Is Still Here (Linda Leith Publishing, 2024), a linked collection that was a finalist for the Quebec Writers’ Federation Concordia University First Book Prize and was named one of 49th Shelf’s Books of the Year.

Sivan’s short fiction and essays have appeared in Canadian literary journals and anthologies including The New Quarterly, carte blanche, and Montréal Serai.
Her work has been recognized by several national awards.

Her debut book and second book project have both received support from the Canada Council for the Arts. Along with writing, she works in Montreal’s arts and culture sector.
